Perspectives Inspector

Manages viewpoints defined by a camera, a target or a focal length. Each viewpoint is considered to be an independent document with its own parameters, which can receive its own environment:

  1. View Name
  2. The name of the current view is displayed; double click on it to edit it.

  3. Architect Camera
  4. Photographic effect makes the verticals look parallel.

  5. Camera Roll
  6. Pivots the camera laterally. Value in degrees (mm). Enter a value in the related field.

  7. Focal Length
  8. Changes the focal length when the slider is used or when a value is entered in mm or degrees (adjusts the angular opening of the camera).

    NB: Value modification depends of the Viewpoint Update Mode settings in Preferences.

  9. Associated Heliodon
  10. Links a heliodon to the view. Selecting "None" deactivates the heliodon.

  11. Light Group
  12. Links one or more light groups to the view. Selecting "None" deactivates the light groups.

  13. Neon Shader
  14. Links one or more Neon Shaders to the view. Selecting "None" deactivates the lighting.

  15. Background/
  16. Foreground
  17. To place a 2D, 3D or HDR Image in the Background or in the Foreground just drag and drop it on the relevant button. Double clicking on a button displays the editor.

    The pop-up menu can be used to toggle between different types of background: Heliodon Sky, Gradient, Image.

  18. Site Insertion Tool

  19. Make the model match with a background picture.

  20. Infinite Ground
  21. To define an infinite ground per view:

    OK menu, OK for All permits to propagate the settings to all the other infinite ground set in the project.

  22. Clipping Box

  23. Clipping planes defined in the 2D View.

    Show: When checked, the box is visible in 2D View.

    Activate: When checked, the clipping box takes effect in the Preview window.

  24. Visible Layers
  25. Check them in the drop-down menu.

  26. Coordinates
  27. Camera: X, Y and Z positions

    Target: X, Y and Z positions

    Click on the padlock icon to lock or unlock the coordinates.

  28. Define As Target
  29. Allows you to limit a camera's target to an object's movement: In Object mode, right-click on an object and select "Define As Target" in the drop-down menu. Then, in Perspectives mode, select the name of the object in question in this menu.

  30. Tone Settings

  31. Set the tone for the current view.

  32. Post Process

  33. Applies effects to the current viewpoint. The effects combine with the parameters set in the inspector.

  34. Rendering Parameters

  35. Prepares the document for the final rendering.

    Use Default

    Use the default settings

    Set As Default

    Defines the current settings as the default settings.

    OK for All drop-down menu

    Apply these settings to all other views for the inspector concerned.
