2 - Opening Documents

Artlantis reads the following document formats:

ATL *, the Artlantis file format (versions 4.5 and higher), and AOF the Artlantis object format.

DWG/DXF the file format for AutoCAD 2010 and earlier.

DWF the file exchange format for AutoDesk products: AutoCAD Architect, Revit, 3DS Max, VIZ

3DS the file format for 3Dstudio versions 3 and 4.

OBJ/MTL file formats for Wavefront OBJ for geometry and MTL for associated textures.

FBX the file format for AutoDesk MAYA, 3DS Max, VIZ.

SKP the file format for SketchUp, versions 5, 6 and 7.

GS1 the Arc+ version 14 file format to Progress 4.

Using Reference Files

NB: for ArchiCAD 13 users, when you export to Artlantis, you have the option of exporting the geometry according to the ArchiCAD layers. In Artlantis' Objects Inspector, the ArchiCAD layers will be listed in the Layers tab. If you do not want to export the geometry in multiple layers but in a single layer only, check Single layer in the export dialog box.

NB: ArchiCAD, SketchUp and VectorWorks export** directly to the Artlantis ATL format.
